Dr. Rosalie Gude

I received my BS degree in Animal Science from Virginia Tech. From there, I went on to earn my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University. During that time, I developed a love for the outdoors and knew I wanted to live close to the mountains, making Waynesville the perfect fit!

My professional interests include surgery and internal medicine, though I enjoy practicing all aspects of veterinary medicine. That passion led me to pursue general practice, where I have the opportunity to see a wide variety of cases and build lasting relationships with both clients and their pets. I value taking the time to thoroughly communicate medical recommendations, treatment options, and the rationale behind them. I believe it is a true privilege to care for pets through every stage of their lives and to provide comfort and support during difficult moments. I also incorporate Fear Free principles into my practice whenever possible.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking and camping in the mountains, as well as running and paddle boarding. I also love relaxing with a good book alongside my cat, Lorelai. I am very excited to be part of the AHoW clinic and the Waynesville community!
