Dr. Adam Kern was born and raised in Waynesville, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for animals and the outdoors. After graduating high school, he proudly served six years in the United States Air Force before pursuing his passion for veterinary medicine. He earned both his bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University.

Dr. Kern has a strong professional interest in internal medicine, client communication and education, and providing compassionate end-of-life care. He is dedicated to building meaningful relationships with pet owners and helping them make informed decisions about their pets’ health.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kern enjoys spending time outdoors with his fiancée, dog, and cat. His hobbies include hiking, camping, running, fly fishing, disc golf, and riding motorcycles.
