Meet Marie
Marie is the Animal Hospital of Waynesville's office ambassador. Dr Hammett adopted her from at the Haywood County Animal Shelter in October 2003 as a young adult and put her to work here. Her position at the animal hospital requires her to take on many tasks.
v She serves as greeter for clients and patients (except for big scary dogs).
v She also serves as comic relief
v She is adoptive parent for our many kittens that we foster from the shelter here.
v She serves to console those clients who have lost or are losing a pet, or who are just worried about an ill pet.
v She helps keep the Client services staff fit by leaving carefully placed collections of long white hair on all surfaces and carpets which improves the flexibility and dexterity of the ladies who must find and remove it.
v She is highly decorative
v She makes us and our clients smile
